Ron Pernick, founder and managing director of Clean Edge, is an accomplished research, publishing, and business development entrepreneur with three decades of high-tech experience. He is the coauthor of two books on clean-tech business and innovation, Clean Tech Nation (HarperCollins, 2012) and The Clean Tech Revolution (HarperCollins, 2007). At Clean Edge he has coauthored more than three dozen reports on clean technologies, markets, and policies and oversees the firm’s research, indexing, and benchmarking services. He consults regularly to companies, government agencies, NGOs, and investors. Prior to founding Clean Edge, he helped build the brands of such Internet pioneers as Internet In A Box, Preview Travel, The WELL, and Yahoo and lived and worked in Japan with a focus on the telecommunications and consumer electronics sectors. He has taught MBA-level courses at Portland State University and New College, is widely quoted in the media, and is a regular speaker at industry events in the U.S. and abroad. Ron graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in Telecommunications and a Certificate in Asian Studies.
Clint Wilder, senior editor, joined Clean Edge in 2002 and plays a leading role in the production of the firm’s research and publications. He has co-authored two books, Clean Tech Nation (HarperCollins, 2012) and The Clean Tech Revolution (HarperCollins, 2007). Wilder has covered the high-tech and clean-tech industries as a business journalist for nearly three decades. A recognized expert on current trends in clean-energy technology, policy, and finance, Wilder is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry events in the U.S. and overseas. He is also a blogger for the Green section of The Huffington Post, and has been a facilitator in the Energy and Climate Change track of the Clinton Global Initiative and a founding member of the Clean Economy Network. Clint graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in History and did graduate work in Business Journalism at Boston University.
Bryce Yonker, senior director of business development and strategic partnerships, heads up the business development, strategy, sales, marketing, and client support efforts at Clean Edge. Bryce is often the first line of contact between Clean Edge, its customers, and the marketplace. He also leads the effort to maintain active relationships with clients, prospects, and partners. Bryce is a founder and the acting executive director of non-profit Smart Grid Northwest that is working to build smart grid industry and infrastructure in the Pacific NW. In his spare time Bryce enjoys the outdoors most often with a fly-rod in hand and spending time with his family. He holds a bachelor degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and an MBA from IE in Spain.
Gabriel Lieb, marketing specialist, heads up the day to day marketing duties at Clean Edge. Gabe coordinates social media, electronic newsletters, partner event promotions, website updates, and other aspects of digital marketing and contributes the company’s overall marketing strategy. He has 15 years of experience marketing in the green consumer space, including many years in residential energy efficiency. He graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz and received his MBA from San Francisco State University with an emphasis in sustainable business.
Emily Blake, office manager, has contributed administrative and bookkeeping support to companies for over 15 years. At Clean Edge, she offers HR, payroll and benefits support and handles all bookkeeping duties. Emily has a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Portland State University.
