U.S. and Global Clean Energy, Water, and Grid Infrastructure Stock Indexes

Clean Edge is a clean-tech stock index research pioneer, having jointly developed the Nasdaq Clean Edge Green Energy index with Nasdaq in 2006. The firm continues to innovate, supporting the research behind diverse indexes benchmarking the green economy including CELS (tracking U.S.-traded clean-energy companies), QGRD (covering global smart grid and grid infrastructure firms), GWE (tracking companies engaged and involved in the global wind industry), and HHO (covering U.S.-listed companies in the potable water and wastewater market. Exchange traded funds based on the indexes are offered by First Trust, under the ticker symbols QCLN, GRIDFAN, and FIW respectively.

Other recently introduced indexes include GGINC (tracking the performance of 50 companies within the global green economy that have a consistent history of offering dividends and exhibit the highest TTM dividend yield), and CELSI (covering the performance of non-US-listed clean-energy companies).
