Japan-U.S. Clean Tech Collaboration: Post-Fukushima Opportunities
Click here for a YouTube version
Opportunities for U.S. companies in Japan, and Japanese firms in the U.S., have never been greater. In the wake of the Fukushima disaster, Japan needs to restructure its energy strategy, with increased reliance on renewables, energy storage, and efficiency efforts, along with traditional non-nuclear energy sources. In 2013, for example, Japan was the world’s hottest solar market, with approximately 7 GW of solar PV capacity installed. The nation is spending hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars on bringing large-scale and distributed storage onto their grid to support more renewables. And 2013 saw a number of U.S. clean-tech players begin to solidly enter the Japanese market.
Please join us on Feb. 4th for a lively and interactive conversation with leading experts to look at recent clean-energy developments in Japan, emerging opportunities for both U.S. and Japanese firms as the nation shifts its energy strategy, and other clean-tech trends coming out of the land of the rising sun. You won't want to miss this exclusive Clean Edge webinar co-hosted with JETRO.
